This is my personal blog on topics in actuarial science and data analytics.  It is intended to provide applications of actuarial methods and demonstrate use of the R programming language package.  For now, it will primarily be written in Icelandic.

In 2012, I finished Capstone certificate program in actuarial science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Business. Prior to that I earned M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Iceland. Chartered Engineer by the Ministry of Industry since October 2000. Chartered Actuary by the Central Bank of Iceland Financial Supervision since December 2020.
